Ware's Bio
Laurie Ware began her real estate career at the age of 16 working in the secondary market buying and selling multi-million dollar packages of mortgages. She became well versed in FHA, VA and conventional loans. She worked to develop databases to track loan statuses using incredibly slow computers. As a mortgage loan processor she gained a great deal of experience working with title companies, appraisers and underwriters. She was often “loaned out” to train real- estate professionals how to use financial calculators to produce closing documents.
She left the mortgage world to obtain a bachelor's degree from the University of Michigan (Math and Computer Science) and a master’s degree from Michigan State University (Curriculum and Education). She has enthusiastically made an impact on young lives teaching mathematics at the high school level for the past 25 years.
Never far from the real estate world, she personally bought and sold many homes successfully
thanks to her high energy, love of power tools, and willingness to take a chance. After
recently finishing a complete remodel of a historic home in downtown Rochester she is
relieved to be permanently settled.
On a personal level, Laurie is happily married and has enjoyed raising 4 children. She spent
several years fostering children and became an adoptive parent as well. She served on the
board of directors to create a mountain bike racing league for school aged children and
coached a high school team of cyclists for several years. When she isn’t pursuing her passion
of helping others locate their dream homes, she can be found riding her bike, gardening or
simply trying to make the world a better place to live in. A donation from every sale is given to
the Detroit Dog Rescue.
