House Hunter

I did not grow up planning to be a real estate agent. First I spent two years in West Africa in the Peace Corps working as a health worker and teacher (and learning French). Next, back in the US, I taught school: preschool, kindergarten, first grade and classes for emotionally handicapped children.

I loved teaching but ultimately decided to try something different. I took the brokers real estate class and exam in 1984 and have been working in real estate ever since. It was a great fit. Real estate has afforded me the opportunity to meet lots of wonderful people and has given me an incredible variety in my daily work like. Over the years I have worked with many builders representing their homes in neighborhoods. This work has helped me learn about home construction which is useful when helping buyers or sellers.

I like looking at houses, representing houses and helping people find the right house. I am one of those people who likes to look at real estate when she goes on vacation and who watches HGTV when she goes to the gym! I enjoy travel and have spent a bit of time in Mexico and it was because of this travel that I decided to learn Spanish. I am also an acrylic artist.
