California, U.S.A.
Welcome to Yorba Linda, California.
Yorba Linda, meaning Beautiful Yorba in Spanish, is a suburban city in Orange County, situated around 13 miles from Downtown Santa Ana and approximately 37 miles from downtown Los Angeles. The city is home to about 65,000 people, and has been identified as one of the richest cities in the United States. One of the most famous residents having lived in Yorba Linda was Richard Nixon, who was born in the area, a fact that is commemorated at the Richard Nixon Presidential Library and Museum in the city. Yorba Linda has received numerous accolades throughout the years, including being one of the top places to live in the U.S and one of the best small cities in the country, according to CNN and Money magazine. The city of Yorba Linda has rich roots, going back to the year of 1834, when a man named Bernando Yorba was granted a large piece of land by the Mexican governor. After the Mexican-American war, much of the land still remained under ownership of the Yorba family's descendants, and part of it still is today. The original home of Bernando Yorba, the Don Bernando Yorba Ranch House, still stands in modern day as a California Historical Landmark. Most shopping and dining can be enjoyed in the Savid Ranch commercial district, but there are also numerous smaller shopping centers in the city. Check out the Eastlake Village Chopping Center, Mercado del Rio, Packing House Square, Yorba Linda Station Plaza and Country Club Village. In total, there are over 1,000 businesses in the city, with an additional 1,500 operating out of residential homes. So rest assured, you will find most any kind of store, restaurant and service in Yorba Linda!
