Georgia, U.S.A.
Welcome to Vinings, Atlanta.
This neighborhood in Cobb County is part of the green suburbs northwest of Downtown Atlanta. With its desirable location next to the Chattahoochee River, it is a highly coveted area with over 9,600 residents. Originally, this unincorporated town was called Crossroads and later Paces in the 1830s. Today, the popular neighborhood radiates with a Southern ambience mixed with modern features. The community has worked diligently to keep the historic charm, and have succeeded largely with the help of a non-profit organization called Vinings Historic Preservation Society. The organization offers residents and visitors education around the origins of the area and surrounding architecture a great asset for those who want to get to know the community better. Thanks to the historical aspects of Vinings, the neighborhood features attractions like the Pace House, which was the original home of Vinings' founder Hardy Pace. Nowadays it is an immensely alluring spot, popular for weddings and other events. In addition, this little gem offers a green escape route through the Silver Comet Trail, the same path that the train with the same name traveled in 1947-1979. Vinings also has more modern attractions like Cobb Energy Performing Arts Centre, where you can enjoy top-notch entertainment year round. The community often hosts festivals, concerts and of course a weekly Farmer's market, so you'll never lack events to take part in! This amazing suburb will provide you will a small-town feel and a tight-knit community that feels far away from the hustle and bustle of the city.
