Welcome to Valencia, Santa Clarita.
Valencia is an upper-class neighborhood of Santa Clarita, located in Los Angeles County in the northwestern corner of Santa Clarita Valley. The neighborhood is home to around 33,000 people, and was ranked as one of the top 100 places to live by Money Magazine in 2006. Valencia is famous for its many popular attractions, especially the Six Flags Magic Mountain theme park and Six Flags Hurricane Harbor waterpark. The community was first planned in the 1960s, and development is continuing in present day. Valencia has a distinct look, with landscaped boulevards and a mix of apartment buildings, detached single-family homes and various office and industrial structures. Families love Valencia for the calm surroundings, fresh air and terrific schools, which include the renowned California Institute of the Arts, College of the Canyons, West Ranch High School and Valencia High School. Valencia consists of several villages, each with its own distinct features and lifestyles. Nearly all villages are adjacent to schools, shopping centers, parks, and other amenities, and many of them also have a neighborhood watch program to ensure safety in the community. The neighborhood of Valencia features a particular system of paved pathways called paseos, which connects the entire community through an extensive network. Thanks to the smart trail system, people can easily get around all of Valencia by foot or bicycle without ever crossing a street! In addition, those who are up for a little bit of exercise can head from the paseo network to the Santa Clara River Trail. The river trail runs along the scenic Santa Clara River, all the way to Canyon Country. Valencia slogan is Built as promised, and the community further has branded itself with the tagline Just Another day in Awesometown on the website. But don't take their word for it come find out for yourself!
