California, U.S.A.
Welcome to Sunnyvale, California.
The City of Sunnyvale is part of Silicon Valley and home to a population of approximately 140,000 people. This high-tech city houses a wide array of large companies such as Juniper Networks, NetApp, Yahoo!, Applied Micro and many more. You'll feel safe in Sunnyvale as it is one of the few cities in America that has a unified Department of Public Safety, meaning that all personnel are trained simultaneously as firefighters, police officers and EMT's; hence they can respond to an emergency in any of the three professions. The city of Sunnyvale has plenty of green, with parks like Las Palmas Park, Ortega Park and Washington Parks, as well as two public golf courses. In addition, Sunnyvale boasts the largest community based urban farm in Silicon Valley, the Full Circle Farm. This progressive community is perfect for those who prefer an environmental approach and want to ditch the car on occasion the League of American Bicyclists has listed Sunnyvale as a Bicycle Friendly Community at the bronze level. Take your bike to downtown Sunnyville, which has recently been redeveloped around the Sunnyvale Town Center Mall with new apartment complexes and a number of ground-floor businesses like Philz Coffee, City Place Wine Bar and Prolific Oven Bakery. Not only is this city famous for being one of the safest in America, but has also been home to quite a few celebrities. Teri Hatcher from Desperate Housewives, artist Robert Hawkins, and the co-founder of Apple, Steve Wozniak, are all previous residents of this sunny city!
