Welcome to Stevenson Ranch, California.
Situated in the scenic hills of Santa Clarita Valley, is a census-designated community part of Los Angeles County. While often thought to be part of the city of Santa Clarita, the area doesn't actually fall within the city limits at all, but comprises its own unincorporated area, home to around 17, 500 people. Stevenson Ranch encompasses around 6.4 square miles, of which 1,000 acres are designated parks, recreation areas and wide-open space for residents to enjoy. The community is beautifully nestled in the foothills of the breathtaking Santa Susana Mountains, just west of Interstate 5. Residents enjoy several amenities, such as the Valencia Marketplace and Stevenson Shopping Center, which feature an abundance of stores and restaurants of every kind. Kids can enroll at the award-winning schools Stevenson Ranch Elementary, Pico Canyon Elementary, Rancho Pico Junior High and West Ranch High Schools. Nearby attractions are many, including the famous amusement park Six Flags Mountain, which is situated only three miles north of the community. Stevenson Ranch was acted as the backdrop for numerous film and television productions including the popular TV-show Weeds, and the feature film Pleasantville. The community is also home to the Pico Canyon with all its fantastic hiking opportunities, as well as the historic oil town of Mentryville.
