California, U.S.A.
Welcome to Sebastopol, California.
This city in Sonoma County is home to around 7,400 people and is located around 52 miles north of San Francisco. Sebastopol is situated twenty minutes from the Pacific Ocean and is well known for both its liberal politics and small town ambience. The wine production is alive and well here, with much of the vast open lands here are used as vineyards. One of the things that mark the friendly atmosphere of Sebastopol, is the large dog statue in front of Sonoma County's Humane Society. This is not the only sculpture in Sebastopol, as the city has more art than any other small town in Sonoma County. If you're in town, visit Florence Avenue and the junk art' studio of Patrick Amiot and his wife Brigitte Laurent. They both live and work at the art gallery and their exhibition features a creative blend of their controversially modern ideas and talents. Perhaps the best way to describe Sebastopol is that it's eclectic, where hippies share the streets with yuppies and eccentric artists. There is never a dull moment in this little town, and you'll find something to do every day of the week. You have plenty of outdoor options with the Ragle Ranch Regional Park, the Joe Rodota Trail, West County Trail and Laguna Santa Rosa to only name a few. History buffs will enjoy a visit at the West County Museum or the George A. Strout House, a registered historic place built in 1901. And when you're done checking out all things Sebastopol has to offer, stop by the Michelin-starred restaurant K&L Bistro for a five-star dining experience!
