Georgia, U.S.A.
Welcome to Roswell, Georgia.
The city of Roswell is located in Fulton County and is Georgia's 8th largest city, with around 88,000 residents. The city is named after a man named Roswell King, who passed through the area and decided to build a cotton mill along Vickery Creek. Eventually, the mill became the largest one in North Georgia, called Roswell Mill. While it is in fact its own incorporated city, Roswell is essentially the definition of a great suburb. Situated north of Atlanta, the city is home to a family oriented community with plenty of great parks and an extensive recreation system. The city even hosts its own cultural events in addition to the nearby Atlanta attractions. Most of the neighborhoods in Roswell have their own public swimming pool and tennis courts, as the city has put a lot of focus on encouraging sports among residents and especially adolescents. In fact, the area high schools have some of the best tennis leagues and swimming teams in the state! As far as transportation is concerned, you'll definitely need a car in Roswell. The town isn't exactly pedestrian friendly, and while there are a few bike-lanes, they are usually situated on busy roads. Should you decide to move to this pretty area, you can rejoice in fact that Roswell is a great place to raise a family. With both outdoor recreation and plenty of good schools, this city is truly a small town within bigger city realms. In addition to parks and trails and the Chattahoochee River, Roswell features a cute historic area with a plethora of restaurants and shops to enjoy. And when you crave the big city, the GA400 highway will take you straight to Atlanta!
