Welcome to A Haven Between Two Parks. Marked by distinctive tree-lined streets of Victorian homes, Regent Square is an urban paradise, an island of sorts, in Pittsburgh's East End.
A park at each end of the neighborhood separates it from other neighborhoods in the city, making it somewhat isolated from pack. And it's that isolation, along with the fact that homes were built close together with porches close to the streets, that has given Regent Square its strong sense of community. Residents are proud of their community, organized, and close-knit. Regent Square is quiet, very family-friendly, and student-friendly, with easy access to the universities and medical institutions in which many of the town's residents work and study. And with an array of eclectic shops and restaurants, and The Regent Theater, one of America's last remaining single-screen theaters, the word "charming" easily comes to mind when you breathe in the air of Regent Square.
