Welcome to Peachtree Heights West, Atlanta.
This affluent neighborhood features one of America's most famous streets, Peachtree. Peachtree travels down north from downtown Atlanta through the core of Buckhead, alongside the beautiful Chattahoochee ridge of the Indian-era Peachtree Trail. In downtown, the street is called Peachtree Street, but once it hits north it becomes Peachtree Road. What once used to be a street with only flashy Atlanta mansions, is today lined with a number of apartment buildings, condominiums, shops and restaurants. The only house that truly offers a peak into the old era is the Randolph-Lucas House on 2494 Peachtree. The mansion is a red brick Georgian Revival home situated at the intersection of Peachtree and Lindbergh Drive, built by the great-great grandson of no one less than president Thomas Jefferson. Residents in the area have convenient access to a Publix Super Market at The Peach, as well as The Peach Shopping Center, situated right by Highway 9. In addition, you'll find shops like Barnes & Noble and a few food- and drink places like the Brio Tuscan Grill, Chops Lobster Bar and Fado Irish Pub. Culture can be devoured at the Atlanta History Center or The Swan House, as well as the Buckhead Theatre, and those of faith can find a home at Cathedral of Christ the King or Second-Ponce de Leon Baptist Church.
