NEWARK
New Jersey, U.S.A.
FLIGHTS AND CITY LIGHTS
Welcome to New Jersey's Runway.
Home to Newark International Airport, one of the largest and busiest airports in the world, and one of three international airports serving the NYC metro area. Newark is truly a metropolis, and the largest city in the state of New Jersey, with over a quarter of a million people calling it home. As part of the NYC metro area, many find it as a lower cost option in the metro, without trading in any of the perks and quirks of big city living. With every imaginable architectural and housing style, and some of the greatest diversity in the state, there's a neighborhood with everyone's name on it. There's plenty to satisfy the sports lover in Newark. Red-clad hockey fans gather at the Prudential Center to cheer on their home team, the New Jersey Devils. And college sports are a draw as well, with a campus of Rutgers University (it's the largest university in the state) located in Newark, athletic teams keep the fans cheering. Rutgers ranks among top U.S. institutions of higher-education as a leading research university, and its law school ranks as a top bang for the buck. For arts and culture there's New Jersey Performing Arts Center, or NJPAC. It draws talented artists from all over the world to its stages; being a premier dance, theater, and music venue, as well as a leader in arts education, it tops the city's list of cultural and entertainment institutions and local treasures.
