NEEDHAM
Massachusetts, U.S.A.
A BEDROOM COMMUNITY
Welcome to Needham, Massachusetts.
Needham is a town in Norfolk County and home to around 29,000 people. The town is a suburb to Boston and is home to the esteemed Franklin W. Olin College of Engineering. Needham was incorporated in 1711 and named after the village Needham Market in Suffolk, England. Neighboring cities include Wellesley, Newton, West Roxbury, Dover, Westwood and Dedham. The Town of Needham is predominately a so-called bedroom community for commuters that travel back and forth to Boston, which lies only 10 miles away. Needham has plenty to offer for young families, like a public town pool and lots of fun events like concerts and a street fair. In addition, Needham is home to a bustling restaurant scene with over 30 different dining establishments. The town center is vibrant and the sense of community is evident wherever you go. The community has several public playgrounds and parks, like the Perry Park, DeFazio Tot Lot and Mills Field, as well as a number of multi-use trails throughout. If you're looking for a place to bring family and friends for a night on the town, check out the Needham Bowlaway; a Candlepin bowling hall with eight lanes and plenty of fun!
