Welcome to Mission Dolores, San Francisco.
Named after San Francisco's oldest building, Misin San Francisco de Ass or Mission Dolores, this neighborhood is one of the most coveted areas in San Francisco. Having characteristics like being safe, trendy, and upscale, with plenty of recreation, this place has all the elements of a great neighborhood. One of its more sunny attractions, Dolores Park, is located on the hillside spread over two blocks, and features a ton of activities like tennis courts and soccer fields. Every summer, hundreds of people arrive here to sunbathe, enjoy live music, barbecue and play with their furry friends. Aside from being a year round spot for locals, the park also hosts a variety of festivals, and the Mime Troupe performs live during Fourth of July. As a bonus, the view is magnificent! If you like wining and dining, you won't be disappointed Mission Dolores is saturated with trendy restaurants and bars. Check out Double Dutch, Monkey Club and the Beauty Bar for a night out with friends, and Delfina, Limon, Luna Park or Blowfish for some high-class food experiences. As a finale, ice cream lovers should stop by Michelle's Ice cream for a dessert that is likely to cause cravings for a long time to come. Best of all, since you have the Muni line at your disposal, getting around is a peace of cake!
