Georgia, U.S.A.
Welcome to Mableton, Georgia.
The Mableton community is a census-designated place in Cobb County, and home to around 30,000 people. Mableton got its name from a man named Robert Mable, who purchased the land in 1843. Mableton was incorporated in 1912, but was already dissolved in 1916. Today, Mableton is a popular area thanks to its convenient location by major freeways and coveted Atlanta areas like Vinings, Buckhead and Downtown. Housing in Mableton is affordable and residents enjoy lower taxes than surrounding areas, which further increases its desirability. This is a great spot for families who area looking to buy real estate close to Atlanta but still within the renowned school district of Cobb County. For those who are in the area looking for culture, make sure to visit the Mable House. Also home to the Mable House Arts Center and the Mable House Barnes Amphitheater, this historic venue features concerts, plays, art exhibitions and much even summer camps for the young ones. Outdoor recreation includes the Silver Comet Trail, Heritage Park and the Lions Park, with the latter featuring two baseball fields, batting cages and more. Residents also have access to Nickajack Park, Thompson Park and Wallace Park, all home to an abundance of amenities like picnic areas, BBQ pits, playgrounds and ball fields. If you favor wining and dining, Mableton won't leave you disappointed as it is home to a diverse collection of restaurants, featuring everything from country-style dishes to the latest in modern cuisine! .
