LORING HEIGHTS
A QUAINT ROW OF BUNGALOWS
Welcome to Loring Heights, Atlanta.
This neighborhood comprises around 300 homes in the south Buckhead district, with most of the residences being 1940s bungalows. It may sound clich, the quaint little area of Loring Heights is often considered as one of Atlanta's best-kept secrets. Loring Height's website states that the neighborhood was named after Brigadier-General William Wing Loring of the Provisional Army of the Confederate States, and was once divided into Lynhurst Acres and Deering Road. Today, the two subdivisions are conjoined and feature rolling hills, lush park space and even a duck pond where little ones can throw crumbs. Residents can stroll the tree-lined streets, rest in the shade at Tanyard Creek Greenspace, and bring their furry friends to the fenced dog park. Nestled between Peachtree Street and Northside Drive, along the border between Midtown and Buckhead, this wonderfully pastoral neighborhood features a vibrant mix of singles, couples and families. Residents who choose Loring Heights as their home often enjoy living in a calm and secure neighborhood, while still having convenient access to some of Atlanta's best shopping, dining and entertainment. It is a perfect spot for those who work in the business district of Buckhead and Downtown, but also for those who work outside the city as Loring Heights is close to all major thoroughfares and expressways. You're sure to feel home in this neighborhood where everyone seems to know everyone, and the atmosphere is friendly to say the least - you can definitely expect a wave on your morning walk!
