Welcome to Lomas Alta, Oceanside.
Situated in the coastal beach community Oceanside, San Diego County, this historic neighborhood was founded in the early 1920's. Many of the single level homes here are built around 1928 and are home to mainly middle-class families. Residents here find themselves in a perfect location, just east of the 5 Freeway and north of Oceanside Blvd, which leads directly down to the beach and the boardwalk. Living in Lomas Alta means you can experience the quiet surroundings of a family neighborhood, while enjoying convenient access to all the restaurants and stores that the beachfront offers. And depending on where you live in Loma Alta, you can basically walk to the Oceanside Municipal Airport! There are a few green parks in the neighborhood, including the Buddy Todd Park, the Ron Ortega Park, and the larger Goat Hill Park, which encompasses a golf course with levels suiting beginners to advanced players. There is a small shopping mall called Oceanside Plaza in the realms of the neighborhood, and just by the 5 Freeway toward the beach you'll find the Mission Square Mall; just by the Oceanside High School. Venture further outside the neighborhood to downtown and the beach, and you'll find Ocean Place Cinemas, Oceanside Museum of Art, California Surf Museum and a plethora of eclectic stores, restaurants, cafes and service establishments. If you're looking to live close by the beach but just far enough away to avoid the everyday bustle of downtown, Loma Alta is a great choice.
