Georgia, U.S.A.
Welcome to Loganville, Georgia.
Loganville is a small city of around 11,000 residents in Walton County, approximately 45 miles east of downtown Atlanta. The first known settler was a farmer named James Harvie Logan, who bought the land in 1842. He purchased the land for $150 dollars at a sheriff's sale, not knowing that 45 years later the community would be incorporated to a city with his name. Like so many other suburban areas in the greater Atlanta metro, the city grew after the installation of a new train depot, part of the Seaboard Airline Railroad. While Loganville took a dive during the Great Depression in the 1930s, the city has experienced steady growth after a large upswing in the early 1990's. The city is today a place that stays true to its tagline: Where People Matter, and the community works diligently together to keep its integrity with strong values and principles. One of the things that Loganville cares for greatly is high quality education for its children. The result of the city's passion in the matter has led to Loganville's schools maintaining the preeminent school of excellence status. In addition to amazing elementary, middle and high schools, the young scholars of Loganville have convenient access to the higher education institutions like University of Georgia, Gwinnett Technical College and Athens Technical College. As far as public green space goes, the city has plenty. The Vines Botanical Gardens is a new, idyllic garden with 25-acres of spectacular landscape, featuring a lake with a bridge, fountains and swans. Also check out the Bay Creek Park, where you'll find ball courts and playgrounds as well as walking trails and a skate park. Loganville is a great place to call home, offering a unique mix of hometown atmosphere and modern progression. For those who look for a family oriented small-town community with all the amenities of a big city Loganville is it.
