Little Rock is the capital of Arkansas and the county seat of Pulaski County, and with around 193,525 residents it is the most populated city in the state. Situated on the south bank of the flowing Arkansas River, the city was incorporated in 1831. Little Rock first got its name when French explorers noticed a small rock formation along the river, which they called La Petit Roche. Little Rock is situated in a diverse and beautiful landscape, and features a wide variety of attractions for all ages.
