Welcome to Little England in San Diego.
1910 was the year that this central city neighborhood appeared on the map, and like the community in London which shares its name, it's got a close-knit, small town feel, and an undeniably old-fashioned flavor. Part of the uniqueness of this neighborhood lies in the Spanish revival home style that predominates. So terra cotta, red tile roofs, and stucco are the name of the game in Kensington. Much loved in San Diego for it's beauty and the pride in ownership, living in Kensington truly is something to brag about! But most notably is the English character reflected throughout, particularly in the names of the neighborhood streets. Names like Marlborough and Canterbury dot the landscape. Residents love the simplicity of life in their little village within the big city.
