JERSEY CITY
New Jersey, U.S.A.
IT KEEPS GETTING BETTER
Welcome to New Jersey's Melting Pot.
As the second largest city in the state of New Jersey, and a major face of the NYC metro area, Jersey City is getting lots of buzz lately. In great part due to its ports, it's long been a commercial center, strategically situated on four waterways, and just minutes from Manhattan. It's long been a popular place to call home because of its cheaper NYC metro rents. And with multiple quick public transportation options, access to Manhattan via bus, ferry, or metro makes a commute possible in a few short minutes. Of course there are those incredible Manhattan views. But watch out Manhattan! Jersey City's own skyline is impressive thanks in part due to the Goldman Sachs building, measuring in as one of the 200 tallest buildings in the world. The city's undergone major revitalization in recent years, and has succeeded in rebranding itself, not just as an alternative to New York City, but as an exceptionally vibrant, artistic, and progressive city of opportunity in and of itself. And it boasts a long list of distinct neighborhoods giving the city its unique flavors. In fact, one of Jersey City's most defining characteristics is its diversity. It ranks, according to financial website, Wallethub, as the most diverse city in the U.S. No surprise to the many nationalities who have called it home for generations, but a major recognition, and boon to the city on an international scale.
