Welcome to Inner Sunset, San Francisco.
Situated between the Golden Gate Park and Vicente Street, the Inner Sunset is placed right next to the ocean and in the middle of the fog zone. Despite its year round fog and general lack of sunshine, this area is so popular that it is the favorite neighborhood of many San Franciscans. Having the relaxed feeling of a small town with a colorfully ethnic blend and terrific restaurants, this modish spot attracts a variety of people that all seem to know each other. This is a friendly neighborhood where people say good morning and hello to each other in a plethora of different accents. Inner Sunset prides itself with several excellent primary and high schools, and children are everywhere to be found. With its rich immigrant past, the neighborhood commodes plenty of diverse restaurants and mom-and-pop shops. While Inner Sunset is more affluent today than in the past, it still has authentic feeling left. The Arizmendi Bakery Cooperative has long lines of locals waiting for heavenly bread and pastries each morning, and other well treasured classics include Art's Caf and The Beanery. If you come here for dinner, make sure to arrive before 7 pm as parking gets scarce later at night. Make sure to have a reservation, or be prepared to wait for a table at one of the immensely popular restaurants in Inner Sunset.
