Welcome to A Magical Mile.
Just across the New York Harbor lies the little town of Hoboken. Another of NYC's commuter towns, it's a formerly Italian enclave, and is on the map for having produced two of America's biggest legends, Frank Sinatra, and that game we love so much, baseball. For those working in Manhattan and escaping the high rents, it's an easy trade-off which offers a lower cost of living, speedy commutes, and a relaxed lifestyle on it's homey streets. It's filled with colorful and classic brownstones, and on most blocks it's still possible to live within your neighborhood, with services like dry cleaners, markets, bars and restaurants all available just doors down from home, and with shopkeepers who know your name. (And if you're from Hoboken, your mom and grandma's name too!) With newer more posh waterfront properties, some commanding Manhattan-style prices, the city's made room for all tastes and wallets. It measures in at only about 1 square mile, but it packs a punch with an active bar and nightlife scene. And when it's time to wind-down there's always Pier A Park and thoses unforgettable Manhattan views.
