Welcome to Gilbert, Arizona. Gilbert is a town in Maricopa County, located southeast of Phoenix. Once a small agriculture-based community, the city has grown from just 5,717 people in 1980, to a thriving and diverse suburban center with around 208,453 residents. Once known as “Hay Shipping Capital of the World”, Gilbert was founded in 1902, when William “Bobby” Gilbert provided the Arizona Eastern Railway with land to construct a rail line between Phoenix and Florence, Arizona. Named one of America’s top thriving cities, Gilbert has plenty to offer visitors and residents alike.
