Welcome to Irvine Spectrum Center, Irvine.
The Irvine Spectrum Center is a major outdoor shopping center on the southeast edge of Irvine. The mall features a state-of-the-art movie theater, and national retailers like Barnes & Noble, Macy's, Nordstrom and H&M. Residents in the area can enjoy first-class shopping, people watching and lots of entertainment, as well as dining at popular hotspots like Javier's Cantina and the more casual Cheesecake Factory and P.F. Chang's China Bistro. There are also numerous little cafes and bakeries, including favorites like Lily Chai Tea. For a night out and lots of laughs, check out The Improv and Dave and Buster's comedy nights. Those who enjoy going to movies will like the fact that the Irvine Spectrum's 21-screen movie theater is the largest of its kind in the western United States. When it was designed, the Edwards Company named it The Big One, which remained the theater's nickname for a long time. Later however, other theaters matched and even surpassed its screen-count, such as the AMC's 30-screen complex at The Block at Orange. If you feel like a day of shopping, dining and entertainment, you can find Irvine Spectrum nestled in a triangular area surrounded by Intestate 5, Interstate 405 and California State Route 133. It's super easy to get to and from the center, with the nearest freeway exits being Alton Parkway and Irvine Center Drive. In addition, residents and patrons have access to public transportation at the Irvine Transportation Center.
