Welcome to Corona, California.
Corona is a city in Riverside County, with around 152,000 residents. The city is beautifully situated at the upper end of the Santa Ana River Canyon, with the Chino Hills to the northwest, and the Cleveland National Forest and Santa Ana Mountains to the southwest. When Corona was founded in 1886 during the California citrus boom, it was originally named South Riverside, The town earned the nickname Lemon Capital of the World, and today Corona has a museum dedicated to the city's citrus-era. Lots of celebrities have had homes in Corona, because of its seclusion and upscale areas. In recent years, Corona has become known as the Gateway to the Inland Empire, and the high real estate prices in Los Angeles and Orange counties has increased the area's desirability. Today, Corona is a major bedroom community for Orange County and Los Angeles commuters. Thanks to the Riverside Freeway, many firms have left northern Orange County to cater to their work force that lives in Corona and Riverside, which has further propelled the city's economical growth. Check out The Crossings at South Corona, where you will find over 65 major retailers, movie theaters and a plethora of restaurants; or head to The Shops at Dos Lagos, an open-air mall with lots of fancy brand name stores and upscale boutiques.
