CHERRY CREEK
AN URBAN NEIGHBORHOOD
Welcome to Cherry Creek, Denver.
Cherry Creek is a neighborhood near downtown Denver, featuring an eclectic mix of old and new development in a dense, urban environment. Cherry Creek is named after the Cherry Creek, a tributary of the South Platte River, which the neighborhood borders along with East Sixth Avenue, University Boulevard and Colorado Boulevard. The neighborhood is mainly residential but features two major commercial centers, Cherry Creek Shopping Center and the Cherry Creek North shopping district. The Cherry Creek North shopping and dining district spans across 16 blocks and features more than 320 upscale galleries, boutiques, restaurants and various service businesses. The district is also home to the Fillmore Plaza, a pedestrian plaza where residents can enjoy a plethora of community events. Some of these events include the Films of Fillmore in summer, the Cherry Creek North Ice Rink in winter, and the Cherry Creek Arts Festival. Residents also have access to green space and outdoor recreation with the Manley and Pulaski Parks, the Cherry Creek bike path and the East Seventh Avenue Parkway. Fitness enthusiasts can take part in a 5-mile foot race on the last Sunday in April, when the streets, parks and bike trails gets occupied by the Cherry Creek Sneak.
