Chatsworth is a neighborhood in the Los Angeles metro, situated in the northwestern part of San Fernando Valley. The neighborhood is home to around 35,000 people, and with its many great public and private schools, large open spaces and smaller recreational parks; the area is popular among families. One of the most distinctive features of Chatsworth is the Chatsworth Reservoir, which spans across 1,325 acres and contains an abundance of oak woodlands, savanna, grasslands and an Ecology Pond. One of the smaller parks worth a visit is the Chatsworth Park North, which covers 20 acres of the scenic Simi Hills, and features amenities like numerous ball fields and courts, a playground, hiking trails, as well as picnic and barbecue areas. Chatsworth is a calm neighborhood, spared from abundant commercial activity and the stress of other bustling areas. Still, residents have convenient access to all the amenities and attractions of the greater Los Angeles area; such as Universal Studios, Griffith Park, Getty Museum and much more. In about an hour drive, you can find yourself on Venice Beach or strolling the stars of Hollywood Boulevard or you can stay right here in Chatsworth to experience the greatness of neighborhood itself. Athletes may want to visit the Ballyard training facilities, which attracts sports enthusiast of every age. The facilities offers classes aimed to improve coordination, endurance, flexibility, footwork and more; with sessions available Monday through Saturday. For a little bit of a western feel, check out the Cowboy Palace Saloon; a country bar which has been a popular filming spot for television and movies, including the Twilight franchise and Murder She Wrote. And watch out for celebrities in Chatsworth, because numerous Hollywood stars are rumored to have built ranches in the area!
