Welcome to A Riverside Neighborhood of Attractions. It sits on the Ohio River in north Pittsburgh, and it has the beautiful name of Chateau.
But there are no French estates here. It's surprisingly almost completely not residential at all. Well, to be fair, there was a population of 11 as of the 2010 census. Chateau is an industrial zone, comprised mostly of warehouses, and it borders the neighborhood of Manchester, to which it was once joined. Chateau is home to several attractions. The Carnegie Science Center, which holds the title of Pittsburgh's most visited museum, is there, as is another major tourist attraction, Rivers Casino. And there's Manchester Crafter's Guild, an arts organization which trains youth in a variety of artistic mediums. As plans to further develop the north side of Pittsburgh continue to develop, Chateau is destined for repopulation.
