Welcome to Cedar Rapids, Iowa.
Cedar Rapids is situated on both banks of the Cedar River, approximately 20 miles north of Iowa City and 100 miles north of Des Moines. With around 126,000 residents, the city is the second largest in the state. Cedar Rapids bears the nickname City of Five Seasons, which is symbolized with the Tree of Five Seasons sculpture in downtown. Art and history buffs can keep themselves busy, and so can the sophisticated thespians; the City of Cedar Rapids is a burgeoning arts and culture center in Eastern Iowa, boasting prominent establishments like the Cedar Rapids Museum of Art, the National Czech & Slovak Museum & Library, Paramount Theatre and the Theatre Cedar Rapids.
