Welcome to Capitol Hill, Denver.
Situated just north of Downtown Denver, Capitol Hill is one of the most diverse and eclectic neighborhoods in the city. While the neighborhood may not look like much next to the towering skyscrapers of the business district, Capitol Hill offers uniquely appealing and historical surroundings, dating back to the 1920's. This cultural epicenter features a few distinct attractions, including the Colorado State Capitol Building as well as the Civic Center Park. The latter is a popular venue that often hosts downtown Denver's many community events and festivals. Much of the allure of this urban hotspot is the proximity to downtown and the business district, but also its own particular charm. The diverse and eclectic community features a plethora of restaurants and businesses, amidst historic and newly constructed residences. Young and hip professionals have started to move into the area, despite that many of the buildings are older. In fact, the old-time allure has only contributed to the neighborhoods magnetism. A cluster of the historic complexes comprise what is commonly called Poet's Row; referring to authors like Emily Dickinson and Robert Frost. To further spin the magic, Alan Ginsberg and Jack Kerouac actually resided here at one time. While this is an urban and dense neighborhood, residents also have access to the green expanse of the Cheeseman Park, which lies right on the edge of Capitol Hill. If you're looking to live in one of the most cosmopolitan neighborhoods in Denver, and favor the bohemian artist feel Capitol Hill just may be your place to call home.
