Welcome to Candler Park, Atlanta.
Candler Park lies on the east side of the city, with bordering neighborhoods being Little Five Points, Lake Claire, Inman Park, Druid Hills and Edgewood. The neighborhood features a wide array of lovely architecture, including some of Atlanta's most admirable Craftsman bungalows. Candler Park Historic District has been listed in the National Register of Historic Places since 1983, and the area also encompasses the green area of Lake Claire. Candler Park features amazing parks, such as the Candler City Park, a 55-acre park situated at 585 Candler Park Drive. It was named after the Coca-Cola magnate Asa Griggs Candler, who in 1922 donated the land to the city. The park today features abundant recreation like a nine-hole golf course, a playground and a swimming pool, as well as several ball fields. Most homes in the neighborhood have been restored to their former beauty, and some of them are quite the visual treat. People here care about their homes, their surroundings, and their neighbors, and the community bonds are strong. It's hard to find anything lacking in Candler Park, as residents here have access to their own business district, wonderful park space as well as public transportation. In addition, Little Five Points and Edgewood retail district is super close, and the MARTA rail will take you anywhere in Atlanta in just minutes!
