BRADFORD WOODS
NOT JUST FOR SUMMER ANYMORE
Welcome to A Home for All Seasons. The quaint Allegheny County borough of Bradford Woods began as just a summer getaway in 1915.
But now 100 years later it has evolved into a desirable, fully-fledged suburb of Pittsburgh. It's an outer suburb, about 30 minutes outside of Downtown, so it's a great option for people who want to rest their heads as far as possible from the city core while still being in the metro area. Measuring in at under a mile in size, the borough is marked by tree-lined streets, and unique homes, (each one is different they say). It has one public school, Bradford Woods Elementary School, and it's the kind of place where day to day life revolves around family and civic life. Windwood Park, the local swim and tennis club, keeps residents busy with recreational activities and a very popular and activity-filled summer day camp program.
