BLACKHAWK
California, U.S.A.
THE RANCH TOWN
Welcome to Blackhawk, California.
This small city of around 11,000 people was named after the Easton family's Blackhawk Ranch in 1917. The ranch in turn got its name from one of the famous Irish racehorses they once owned, Blackhawk. The city is home to a very exclusive country club with 4,800 acres of land, located at the base of Mount Diablo. The Blackhawk Country Club was opened in 1979, and includes affluent residential neighborhoods surrounded by incredible open lands. The Eagle Ridge Drive leads up to a gate behind which you'll find abundantly luxurious estates. Among the most impressive properties is the Behring estate, which boasts a total of 28,673 square feet. At the club, golfers can spend a long day on the course at the Lakeside golf course, which was designed by Bruce Devlin and Robert Von Hagge. If swinging the club isn't your thing, try the Blackhawk's Tennis Club, where you can choose between 20 different courts, or the Blackhawk Swim Club, housing a competition-sized pool and a spa. In addition, the country-club is home to a 25 acre Sports and Recreation Center where you'll find basketball and volleyball courts, as well as a children's play park and an amphitheater. For shopping, check out the Blackhawk Plaza, where you'll find a plethora of retail stores, restaurants, a movie theater and museums!
