This area is one of the most desirable ones in America, and it is easy to understand why.
The streets of Newbury, Boylston and Commonwealth Ave are dotted with eclectic stores, memorable restaurants and beautiful historic homes. The coveted features have turned Back Bay into a trendy destination for both native Bostonites and curious visitors. Once in awhile you'll even be able to spot a celebrity taking advantage of the gorgeous surroundings. In addition to picturesque vintage homes, this vivacious neighborhood also features the two tallest buildings in Boston: the Prudential Center and the John Hancock Tower. Furthermore, this is where you will find the beautiful architectural masterpieces of Trinity Church and Boston Public Library. The landmarks are situated in the modest but prominent Copley Square, which could be described as the heart of the neighborhood. This is also where you'll find the famous John Hancock Tower. Two of the most intriguing streets in Back Bay are Newbury Street and Commonwealth Avenue. Newbury Street is a gorgeous shopping street with European features, allowing residents to shop the latest vogue or brunch away at a hip caf. Commonwealth, or "Comm. Ave" is a Paris-looking wide street lined with luxurious town-homes, housing many wealthy denizens.
