Massachusetts, U.S.A.
Welcome to Andover, Massachusetts.
The Town of Andover is located on the banks of the Merrimack River, around 24 miles north of Boston. Home to almost 30,000 people, the town is proud of its thriving community that is always working toward better quality of life for its residents. North Andover boasts a rich history, going back all the way to the 17th century. The town still features plenty of historical features and landmarks, many of which can be seen the town's Old Center. This section houses the North Parish Church, the Parson Barnard House, Steven Coolidge House, Brick Store and several others. The town has a strong past in the industrial and engineering business, and the community is still very much committed to retaining and attracting a stable business base. The terrific geographic location and endless stream of skilled workers makes North Andover an excellent town to work and live. In fact, Money Magazine selected North Andover as Fifth Best Community to live on the East Coast. The district is working hard to provide their residents with the best education possible, and there are five elementary schools, a middle school and two high schools. There is also a local college, the Merrimack College, as well as a boarding school, Brooks School. During the summer, the beautiful area offers plenty of outdoor recreation. Residents can purchase a discounted summer pass to the popular Steven's Pond for all-day swimming and relaxing. The Weir Hill recreational area features trails for hiking and running, and stunning landscape views. If you're in the area with children, take the whole family for a weekend of camping in the Harold Parker State Forest. The forest also features a freshwater swimming beach and activities like hunting, horseback riding and fishing.
